Soccer Game Preview: Hamilton-Wenham Regional vs. Triton Regional

The Hamilton-Wenham Regional Generals will head out to take on the Triton Regional Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Hamilton-Wenham Regional has five straight victories, Triton Regional has seven straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Hamilton-Wenham Regional is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Everything went their way against Georgetown on Friday as they made off with a 6-1 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Hamilton-Wenham Regional's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts soccer rankings (they are ranked 36th, while Georgetown are ranked 219th).

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Triton Regional's offense. They came up short against Lynnfield on Friday, falling 5-0.

Hamilton-Wenham Regional's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Triton Regional, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11-1.

Everything went Hamilton-Wenham Regional's way against Triton Regional in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Hamilton-Wenham Regional made off with a 5-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Generals since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
