Basketball Recap: Woodville Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Woodville won the last time they faced Newton and things went their way on Friday too. The Woodville Eagles walked away with a 43-33 victory over the Newton Eagles. Given Woodville's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 645th, while Newton is ranked 1298th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Woodville's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 15-11. As for Newton, their defeat was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-9.
