Basketball Recap: Broadwater Academy Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Teddy Seybolt and Grayson Ross

Broadwater Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 58-35 to the Greenbrier Christian Academy Gators. The Vikings were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Gators earlier this season, when they won 52-46.

Broadwater Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Grayson Ross, who posted 11 points, and Teddy Seybolt, who had 11 points. Ross continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Greenbrier Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Josh Henkel out in front who earned 13 points. The dominant performance gave Henkel a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Macdermod, who put up 12 points.

Broadwater Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Greenbrier Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 5-11.

Coming up, Broadwater Academy will head out on the road to take on Portsmouth Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Greenbrier Christian Academy, they will welcome Hampton Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hampton Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63 points per game this season.
