Soccer Game Preview: NCSSM: Morganton vs. Madison

The NCSSM: Morganton Dragons will challenge the Madison Patriots at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with NCSSM: Morganton sitting on three straight wins and Madison on four.

NCSSM: Morganton proved they can win big two weeks ago (they won by three) and last Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a goal and slipped past Mountain Heritage 3-2. NCSSM: Morganton better thank their lucky stars for the performance of Colette Stokas, as she scored every single goal for her team.

Meanwhile, Madison kept a clean sheet against Draughn last Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 5-0 margin over the Wildcats. Madison might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by three goals or more this season.

Madison's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-4-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those three contests. As for NCSSM: Morganton, their victory bumped their record up to 10-2-1.

NCSSM: Morganton was able to grind out a solid win over Madison in their previous meeting back in March, winning 2-0. Do the Dragons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Patriots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
