Basketball Recap: Dunbar Comes Up Short

Dunbar was the 55-53 winner over Southwest when they last played one another back in November of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. The Dunbar Wildcats might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Southwest Raiders an easy 48-26 win.

Dunbar's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-16. As for Southwest, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-6.

Dunbar will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Western Hills at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Southwest, they will take on Tyler in a tournament on December 27th.
