Basketball Recap: Rancho Verde Comes Up Short

Rancho Verde managed to slip by Santa Margarita the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Mustangs had to suffer through an 83-41 loss at the hands of the Eagles. The loss put an end to the Mustangs' undefeated start to the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Rancho Verde fell to 2-1. As for Santa Margarita, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Coming up, Rancho Verde will challenge Yucaipa at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Santa Margarita, they will take on Loyola at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will be up against the Cubs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 55.2 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
