Cypress Creek and Sunlake are an even 3-3 against one another since October of 2017, but not for long. The Coyotes will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Seahawks at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Cypress Creek is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 52 points last Friday, they were much more limited against Gaither on Friday. They were dealt a 54-3 loss at the hands of the Cowboys. While losing is never fun, the Coyotes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 439th, while the Cowboys are ranked 28th).

Meanwhile, Sunlake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were outmatched by Mitchell and fell 50-16. The Seahawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-8.

Cypress Creek will have to keep a close watch on Jayven Williams and Angel Rodriguez, a pair of players who had a big impact on Sunlake's prior game. Williams picked up 109 receiving yards and one TD, while Rodriguez rushed for 58 yards and one touchdown. Williams was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 52 yards.

Cypress Creek's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Sunlake, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Cypress Creek took a serious blow against Sunlake in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, falling 55-28. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Seahawks' Ace Missbach, who rushed for 119 yards and a pair of scores on only eight carries, and also picked up 33 receiving yards.
