Soccer Game Preview: Oak Ridge vs. Jesuit

The Oak Ridge Trojans will take on the Jesuit Marauders at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Oak Ridge will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating Davis Sr., who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. Oak Ridge sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Davis Sr. on Thursday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Trojans' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 286th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 51st).

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Jesuit brought some dynamite into their most recent game. They came out on top against Del Oro by a score of 4-2 on Thursday. Considering the Marauders' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Jesuit's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2-2 and their overall record up to 2-2-5. As for Oak Ridge, they now have a winning record of 3-2-3.
