Basketball Recap: Brooke Point Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Brooke Point, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They managed a 59-55 victory over the Stafford Indians on Friday. Given the Black Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while the Indians are ranked 243rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why Stafford lost, don't look at Jackson Wallace. Despite the final result, he went 7-for-15 en route to 27 points and three steals. That was a full 49.1% of Stafford's points, marking the fourth time in a row Wallace has posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zion Bacchus, who earned eight points.

Brooke Point has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. As for Stafford, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-16.

As of now, neither Brooke Point nor Stafford have any future games scheduled.
