Football Recap: Beech Grove Starts Season with Win on the Road

Beech Grove had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Terre Haute North Vigo Patriots 46-20 on Saturday. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Hornets just coasted through the last quarter.

Terre Haute North Vigo lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Adriana Dominguez, who threw for 246 yards and three TDs. 121 of those passing yards were hauled in by Ruthee Lubbehusen, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Beech Grove is set to face off against their familiar foe Roncalli at 7:00 p.m. on September 3. Meanwhile, Terre Haute North Vigo will challenge rival BELIEVE Circle City at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
