Baseball Recap: Patterson Takes a Loss

Patterson made up a huge gap compared to their last game against City College, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Clippers fell just short of the Knights by a score of 7-5 on Monday. The Clippers have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Patterson's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 1-1-1 and their overall record down to 8-2-1. As for City College, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-1.

Looking ahead, Patterson is taking a road trip to challenge Digital Harbor at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rams have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.4 runs per game on average), something the Clippers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for City College, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Academy for College and Career Exploration at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
