Volleyball Recap: Parkway South Patriots vs. Parkway North Vikings        
        
		
             Parkway South and Parkway North met for a duel  on Thursday where Parkway South prevailed. The Parkway South Patriots won by a  set and slipped past the Parkway North Vikings  3-2. The  win was familiar territory for the Patriots who have now won three  matchups in a row.
 Parkway South was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (99-98), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-20, 12-25, 21-25,  15-7.
 Leading Parkway South to victory were  Parker Rakers and  Sam McHale.  Rakers  had nine  digs, while  McHale  had ten  kills, nine  digs, seven  aces,  and a  block. That's the most  aces  McHale has posted since back in August of 2023.
 Parkway South  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 20  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least seven  aces in three consecutive  contests.
 Despite the  loss, Parkway North saw an underclassman step up: freshman  Hannah Schrumpf  had ten  digs and five  aces.
 Parkway South is  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six games,  which provided a massive bump to their 14-11-2 record  this season. As for Parkway North,  they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 13-12-1.
 Parkway South didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  match,  a  3-0  defeat against Eureka on the 23rd. Parkway North has also  already played their next matchup,  a  3-0  loss against Fort Zumwalt South on the 23rd.
