Recap: Dalton Bulldogs vs. Danville Blue Devils

With a playoff game on the line, the Dalton Bulldogs rose to the challenge on Friday. They put the hurt on the Blue Devils with a sharp 31-8 victory. The win was nothing new for Dalton as they're now sitting on 12 straight.

When it comes to explaining why Danville lost, one person who can't be blamed is Cole Delaughder. Despite the final result, he rushed for 96 yards, and also caught a touchdown.

Dalton has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 12-1 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.6 points per game. As for Danville, their loss ended a eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 13-1.

Dalton will be playing at home against Caldwell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Caldwell will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 353rd, while Dalton is ranked 66th). Danville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
