Cyprus got themselves on the board against Kearns on Wednesday, but Kearns never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 11-0 win. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Alex Larsen tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Nick Griffel, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Rene Hidalgo was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Cyprus' record now sits at 16-5. As for Kearns, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-16.
