Volleyball Recap: National Trail Takes a Loss

National Trail was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Valley View Spartans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blazers of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2017.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 20-25, 25-16, 25-16.

Jaelynn Remaklus paced National Trail's offense, picking up six kills. Remaklus got some help from Kylie Schul and her 16 assists.

National Trail's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Valley View, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-3.

Looking ahead, National Trail will square off against Newton Local at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Blazers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Valley View, they will take on Twin Valley South at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
