Softball Recap: Flat Rock Comes Up Short

Flat Rock had lost three straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 7-10 to make it four. They lost 10-3 to the Lincoln Railsplitters. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Rams have suffered since April 3rd.

Sarah Giroux made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

As for Lincoln, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by seven runs or more this season.

On Lincoln's side, the team relied heavily on Ava Greene, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Pinter, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.

Coming up, Flat Rock will face off against Milan at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lincoln, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Clinton at 4:00 p.m.
