Volleyball Recap: Lathrop Takes a Loss

Lathrop lost against Palmer back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Malemutes fell just short of the Moose by a score of 2-1. The Malemutes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Mia Hahn paced Lathrop's offense, picking up eight kills. Hahn got some help from Priscilla Wang and her 15 assists. Annebelle (Belle) Foster controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Palmer can attribute much of their success to Laekyn Leroux, who had 12 digs and four aces. That's the most aces Leroux has posted over her last nine contests.

Lathrop's defeat dropped their record down to 15-20-10. As for Palmer, their record is now 21-17-4.

Lathrop has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Juneau-Douglas on the 25th. As for Palmer, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Kenai Central on the 25th.
