North Central AA Top Player Performances of the Week

Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances from Friday's football action (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!

Gannon Jacobson Earns League's Top Spot

Starting off the list is Southeast of Saline's Gannon Jacobson, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Jacobson rushed for 207 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also threw for 125 yards and three touchdowns. His longest rush was for an impressive 64 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

The victory for Southeast of Saline keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. Jacobson and Southeast of Saline will head out to challenge Hillsboro at 5:03 p.m. on Friday.

Nickolas Kendall Delivers Best Performance of Season

Nickolas Kendall produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Republic County to the win on Friday. Kendall rushed for 83 yards, and also picked up 31 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Republic County's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3. Kendall and Republic County will host Remington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Johnson Came Up Big in Ellsworth's 14-6 Victory

Landin Johnson was instrumental in extending Ellsworth's winning streak to five on Friday. Johnson turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 111 yards and a touchdown. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 111 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Johnson and Ellsworth will challenge Halstead at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Johnson will face off against Joey Millspaugh, the Dragons' star rusher. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.

Kash Henke Goes Supernova in Republic County Victory

Another Republic County player making an appearance on this list is Kash Henke. He rushed for 52 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 120 yards and a touchdown.

For the season, Henke has thrown 2 touchdowns (and no picks) while averaging 35.6 passing yards per game.

Dom Matteucci Rounds Out Top Five

Rounding off our Top Five is Dom Matteucci of Sacred Heart. Matteucci picked up 59 receiving yards.

Sacred Heart's loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4. Matteucci and Sacred Heart will challenge Bennington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
