Baseball Recap: Davenport Central Takes a Loss

Davenport Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 10-4 to the Pleasant Valley Spartans. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Blue Devils have suffered against the Spartans since June 3, 2019.

Davenport Central's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Pleasant Valley, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

Davenport Central has already played their next matchup, an 8-7 defeat against Anamosa on the 10th. As for Pleasant Valley, they will face off against Ankeny Centennial at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
