Volleyball Recap: St. Luke's Episcopal Takes Down Lauderdale County in a Playoff Battle

St. Luke's Episcopal extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Lauderdale County. They had just enough and edged out the Tigers 3-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Leading St. Luke's Episcopal to victory were Lauren Watson and Amelia Smith. Watson had ten digs and one assist, while Smith had 22 kills, nine digs, three blocks, and two aces. Smith is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had eight or more in each of the last 14 games she's played.

St. Luke's Episcopal is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 30-16 record this season. As for Lauderdale County, their loss dropped their record down to 35-17.

St. Luke's Episcopal didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Mobile Christian on the 29th. Lauderdale County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
