Softball Recap: Fairfield Falcons vs. Wood Wildcats

Fairfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell victim to a tough 15-3 defeat at the hands of the Wood Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Fairfield of the 9-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.

Fairfield saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Karma Duffy, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Vacaville's pitching crew has only allowed 1.9 runs per game this season, so Wood's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
