Basketball Game Preview: Louisa County Lions vs. Orange County Fighting Hornets

The Louisa County Lions will face off against the Orange County Fighting Hornets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Louisa County will be strutting in after a win while Orange County will be coming in after a defeat.

While Louisa County didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past Monticello, posting a 65-31 victory. That 34 point margin sets a new team best for the Lions this season.

Meanwhile, Orange County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 55-31 to Western Albemarle.

Orange County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Louisa County, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.

Louisa County and Orange County were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, but Louisa County came up empty-handed after a 63-62 loss.
