Basketball Recap: Moran Comes Up Short

Moran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 61-29 loss at the hands of the Paint Creek Pirates. Sadly, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-42 last Friday.

When it comes to explaining why Moran lost, don't look at Ellis Hise. Despite the final result, he posted 18 points. Another player making a difference was Dylan Herrod, who had seven points.

Moran's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Paint Creek, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Trent the next time they take the court. Moran will head out to face Trent at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while Paint Creek will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
