            Football Recap: Niceville Eagles vs. Choctawhatchee Indians        
        
		
        
        
            Niceville was the  42-25 winner over Choctawhatchee when they last played one another  back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles took a  blow against the Indians on Friday, falling  42-7. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 68th, while the Indians are ranked 19th).
 Thomas Radliff threw for 107 yards and one  touchdown.   Teray Geiger was his top target, picking up 45 receiving yards.  On the ground,  Jakobe Gilyard rushed for 32 yards.
 Choctawhatchee got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Tamen Zabetakis out in front who threw for 244 yards and a pair of  TDs while completing 76.5% of his passes. Those  244  passing yards gave  Zabetakis a new career-high.  Zion Legree also helped with two scores in total.
Niceville now  has a losing record of 2-3. As for Choctawhatchee, the  win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
 Niceville and Choctawhatchee will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Eagles will  face off against  rival Gulf Breeze  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, Choctawhatchee is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Arnold  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
