Dayton had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the four-goal drubbing they dealt Sage Ridge on Tuesday. The Dust Devils blew past the Scorpions 5-1. That looming 5-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Dayton yet this season.

They hit Sage Ridge with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Emmanuel Luna Poma (2), Caleb Miklich, D'Angelo Melgarejo, and Garrison Maddox.
