Baseball Recap: West Vigo Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

West Vigo gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against the Southmont Mounties by a score of 3-1 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).

West Vigo is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Southmont, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.

West Vigo will look to defend their home field on Monday against Indy Genesis HomeSchool at 5:30 p.m. As for Southmont, they will head out on the road to square off against Lebanon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
