Baseball Recap: Jackson-Olin Comes Up Short

Jackson-Olin was the 9-0 winner over Wenonah when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Jackson-Olin Mustangs came up short against the Wenonah Dragons on Thursday, falling 24-5. The defeat leaves the Mustangs still looking for their first win of the season.

DaTrell Evans was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 1-for-1. The team also got some help courtesy of Wylam Wright, who scored a run and stole four bases.

Even though they lost, Jackson-Olin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Jackson-Olin's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Wenonah, the victory snapped their losing streak at 17 games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-6 record.

While Jackson-Olin had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
