Basketball Game Preview: R.A. Long Lumberjacks vs. Mark Morris Monarchs

The R.A. Long Lumberjacks are taking a road trip to challenge the Mark Morris Monarchs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, R.A. Long came up short against Ridgefield and fell 46-35. The defeat continues a trend for the Lumberjacks in their matchups with the Spudders: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Mark Morris waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 51-38.

Mark Morris has also been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.5 points per game. As for R.A. Long, their loss dropped their record down to 6-12.

R.A. Long ended up a good deal behind Mark Morris when the teams last played back in January, losing 57-38. Can R.A. Long avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
