Basketball Recap: McAllen Memorial Takes a Loss

McAllen Memorial was the 64-53 winner over Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The matchup between the Mustangs and the Raiders didn't end well, with the Mustangs falling 53-39. The game marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

McAllen Memorial has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-5.

McAllen Memorial and Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Mustangs will face off against rival Sharyland at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North is set to square off against their familiar foe Pioneer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
