Washington-Wilkes hasn't had much luck against Brooks County recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Washington-Wilkes Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Brooks County Trojans at 2:00 p.m. Washington-Wilkes will be strutting in after a win while Brooks County will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Washington-Wilkes finally turned things around against Lake Oconee Academy on Friday. They came out on top against the Titans by a score of 20-13.

Tamari Curry continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 133 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 80 yards.

Meanwhile, Brooks County unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak two weeks ago. They fell just short of Irwin County by a score of 17-14.

Although Brooks County took the loss, they still got scores from Denzell Brown and George Lamons Jr..

Washington-Wilkes' victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Brooks County, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-4.

Saturday's matchup will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Curry and Chris Cole. Curry just won't slow down this season and has averaged 33.7 passing yards per game. Cole has been a dominant force too and has averaged 153 rushing yards per game.
