Basketball Recap: American International Academy Skates Past Crockett Tech with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask American International Academy). Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2024 than the 84-31 stomp they got against the Crockett Tech Rockets. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for American International Academy considering their 30-point performance the match before.

American International Academy moved to 4-4 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Crockett Tech, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. American International Academy and Phoenix will round out the year against one another at at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Phoenix will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something American International Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Crockett Tech, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Detroit Leadership Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
