Basketball Recap: North Huron Takes a Loss

North Huron was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 49-23 to the Ubly Bearcats. The Warriors were not able to make up for their loss to the Bearcats from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Despite the loss, North Huron still got an impressive performance from Jenna Schornack, who posted six points and five boards. Schornack has been hot recently, having also posted two or more blocks the last three times she's played.

Even though they lost, North Huron smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. This was only their third loss (out of 11 games) when they hit their own glass that hard.

North Huron's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Ubly, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-14 record this season.

North Huron does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ubly, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 41-28 win against Deckerville on the 7th.
