Basketball Game Preview: Valley View Eagles vs. Archer City Wildcats

The Valley View Eagles and the Archer City Wildcats will round out the year against one another at at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Friday, Valley View was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 45-41 to Callisburg. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Archer City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 54-46 to Saint Jo. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 858th, while the Panthers are ranked 380th).

Valley View's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Archer City, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.
