Soccer Recap: Vicksburg Comes Up Short

Vicksburg lost against Warren Central two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Vicksburg Gators lost 7-0 to the Warren Central Vikings. While losing is never fun, the Gators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi soccer rankings (they are ranked 124th, while the Vikings are ranked 20th).

This is the second loss in a row for Vicksburg and nudges their season record down to 2-11-1. As for Warren Central, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1-1.

Vicksburg will venture away from home to square off against Neshoba Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Warren Central will take on Columbus in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Warren Central is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.9 goals per game this season.
