Basketball Game Preview: Coosa Eagles vs. Gordon Lee Trojans

The Coosa Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Gordon Lee Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Coosa lost to Christian Heritage at home by a 58-44 margin. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 353rd, while the Lions are ranked 135th).

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 60-31, which was the final score in Gordon Lee's tilt against Fannin County on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Rebels: they've now lost three in a row.

Coosa's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Gordon Lee, their loss dropped their record down to 12-11.

Coosa couldn't quite finish off Gordon Lee when the teams last played back in January and fell 44-41. Can Coosa avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
