Adelanto has been on a difficult stretch since their win on December 12. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 3-1 defeat to the Granite Hills Cougars. While losing is never fun, Adelanto can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 797th, while Granite Hills are ranked 163rd).

Adelanto's loss dropped their record down to 3-10-3. As for Granite Hills, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Adelanto will face off against rival Silverado at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Granite Hills is set to take on their familiar foe Victor Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
