Basketball Recap: Indian Creek Takes a Loss

If Indian Creek was riding high fresh off their 60-34 takedown of Gerstell Academy last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Indian Creek Eagles fell 48-41 to the John Carroll Patriots on Friday.

Despite the defeat, Indian Creek saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Stephanie Bunker dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 boards. Another player making a difference was Ofundem Mbelem, who posted six points and nine rebounds.

Indian Creek's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for John Carroll, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 14-3-2.

Indian Creek wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 64-49 win against St. John's Catholic Prep on the 5th. As for John Carroll, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Roland Park Country on the 3rd.
