Jacksonville Christian Academy barely beat Faith Christian the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Thunder's pitcher stepped up to hand the Lions a 10-0 shutout on Tuesday. Considering the Thunder have won eight games by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Not much got past Jessie Gannaway, who gave up just two hits and racked up 12 Ks to keep Faith Christian off the board. Gannaway has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jacksonville Christian Academy got a massive performance out of Noah Lee, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3. Lee is becoming a predictor of the Thunder's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 5-6 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Grant Daffron, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Jacksonville Christian Academy's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 8-6. As for Faith Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

Jacksonville Christian Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against Faith Christian: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
