Volleyball Recap: Goddard Lions vs. Great Bend Panthers
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Goddard can now relate to. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Great Bend Panthers on Saturday. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Emerson Wedel paced Goddard's offense, picking up six kills. Wedel got some help from
Micah Gillespie and her five assists.
Goddard's loss dropped their record down to 14-20. As for Great Bend, the win (which was their 26th in a row) raised their record to 34-2.
Goddard does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Great Bend has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Valley Center on the 26th.
