Forest is 8-2 against Dunnellon since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Forest Wildcats face off against Dunnellon Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Forest is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.
Last Thursday, Forest got the win against Belleview by a conclusive 9-1. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Rattlers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Makenna Boyd spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up nine Ks. Those nine strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
On the hitting side, Jaiden Prestipino was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Aurora Shifflett also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.
Forest was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They are 5-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Dunnellon, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Eastside a 15-0 shutout last Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Tigers considering their two-run performance the game before.
Kayla Bordelon looked comfortable as she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Furthermore, she didn't allow a single walk, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024.
At the plate, Dunnellon got a massive performance out of Aden Permar, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most hits Permar has posted since back in March of 2024. Addison Rohn was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-1.
Forest pushed their record up to 6-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Dunnellon, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-6.
Dunnellon's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Forest has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .456. It's a different story for Dunnellon, though, as they've only averaged .314. Will they be able to contain Forest's hitters?
Forest took their victory against Dunnellon in their previous meeting last Wednesday by a conclusive 13-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for Forest since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
