Doane Academy's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 76-49 loss at the hands of Cinnaminson. Doane Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-21.
When it comes to explaining why Doane Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Nick Fusco. Despite the final result, he scored 23 points. Fusco scored a full 46.9% of Doane Academy's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kameron Fields, who scored ten points.
Doane Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Cinnaminson, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Doane Academy will take on Bordentown at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Bordentown focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Friday. As for Cinnaminson, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Medford Tech at 5:15 p.m. Medford Tech is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
