Basketball Game Preview: Washington Township Minutemen vs. Shore Regional Blue Devils

The Washington Township Minutemen are taking a road trip to square off against the Shore Regional Blue Devils at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Washington Township has three straight wins, Shore Regional has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Washington Township will bounce into Saturday's match after beating Clearview, who they had gone 0-5 against in their five prior meetings. Washington Township walked away with a 57-45 victory over Clearview on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Shore Regional came up short against Trinity Hall on Thursday and fell 31-24. The game marked the Blue Devils' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Washington Township will have to contain Reese Fiore as she made an impact in Shore Regional's last game. She posted nine points and six rebounds. That was a full 37.5% of Shore Regional's points, marking the third time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points.

Shore Regional's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Washington Township, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Washington Township came up short against Shore Regional in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 51-41. Can Washington Township avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
