McBain has gone a perfect 10-0 against Houghton Lake recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The McBain Ramblers will venture away from home to take on the Houghton Lake Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. McBain knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Houghton Lake likes a good challenge.

McBain saw some tournament action on Wednesday. They breezed past Lake City to the tune of 65-32. The victory continues a trend for the Ramblers in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won eight in a row.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Houghton Lake took on Evart on Wednesday. Houghton Lake secured a 51-47 W over Evart. The win was all the more spectacular given the Bobcats' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 404th in Michigan, while the Wildcats are ranked 145th in Michigan).

Houghton Lake is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.5 points over those games. McBain's record is now 21-2.

McBain strolled past Houghton Lake when the teams last played back in January by a score of 57-41. The rematch might be a little tougher for McBain since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
