Softball Recap: Humboldt Hawks vs. Harding Knights
Humboldt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 19-8 to the Harding Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Humboldt of the 17-7 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Wednesday.
For Harding's part, they got a massive performance out of Mary Thao, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Westin, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
Humboldt's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Harding, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
Humboldt will head out on the road to take on Washington Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Harding, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Academy for Sciences & Agriculture at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
