Basketball Recap: Kieran Knight's Big Game Can't Quite Lead School of the Woods over Brazosport Christian

If School of the Woods was riding high fresh off their 58-19 takedown of Harmony Science Academy last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The School of the Woods Wildcats took a 60-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brazosport Christian Eagles on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

School of the Woods lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kieran Knight, who posted 11 points and five steals. Knight is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least three every time he's taken the court this season. Tyler Gwinn was another key player, putting up 13 points and five rebounds.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Brazosport Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tyson Sullivan, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 16 boards. The dominant performance gave Sullivan a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Mason Speed, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds.

School of the Woods' defeat dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Brazosport Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

School of the Woods didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 49-28 victory against Central Christian Academy on the 6th. As for Brazosport Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 60-25 win against Briarwood on the 7th.
