Piedmont Community Charter extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Shelby Ostrander. Everything went the Patriots' way against the Carolina International Comets on Monday as they made off with a 3-0 victory for which the team can thank Ostrander, who had five aces. She has been hot recently, having posted four or more aces the last three times she's played.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Piedmont Community Charter was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-8, 25-11.

Piedmont Community Charter's win bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Carolina International, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season.
