Basketball Game Preview: Elkton/Lake Benton Elks vs. Castlewood Warriors

Elkton/Lake Benton hasn't had much luck against Castlewood recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Elkton/Lake Benton Elks are taking a road trip to take on the Castlewood Warriors at 7:15 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Elks fans will have to keep waiting for their team to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Friday's season opener. They secured a 33-29 W over Estelline/Hendricks on Friday.

Meanwhile, Castlewood took care of business in their home opener on Friday (and then some). They claimed a resounding 57-18 win over Waubay/Summit. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Warriors as it put an end to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Elkton/Lake Benton strolled past Castlewood in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a score of 37-21. The rematch might be a little tougher for Elkton/Lake Benton since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
