Basketball Recap: Friday's Win Is Merced's Fourth in Last Five Outings

Merced won the last time they faced Los Banos and things went their way on Friday too. The Merced Bears walked away with a 53-40 win over the Los Banos Tigers.

Merced is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. As for Los Banos, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Merced will face off against Buhach Colony at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Merced is facing Buhach Colony at the right time seeing as Buhach Colony is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Los Banos, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Los Banos Tigers face off against the Golden Valley Cougars at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Golden Valley is on a six-game streak of home wins, Los Banos a four-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
