Baseball Recap: Western Wayne's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Western Wayne never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over the Lake-Lehman Knights. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Knights, too.

Damian Glackin made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ethan Lamberton, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Jamie Chapman was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Western Wayne's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-14. As for Lake-Lehman, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-9 record this season.

Western Wayne will venture away from home to challenge Riverside at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. Lake-Lehman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
