Basketball Recap: Seton Catholic Central Knights vs. Chazy Eagles
The Seton Catholic Central Knights came into Friday's matchup having lost ten straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They managed a 44-38 victory over Chazy on Friday. For Seton Catholic Central, this counts as revenge for the 37-28 defeat the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.
Aiden Pearl continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 31 rebounds. That makes it 13 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Seton Catholic Central's points.
Seton Catholic Central's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-14. As for Chazy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
Seton Catholic Central will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Jaguars at 6:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in New York (Johnsburg Central is ranked 847th, while the Knights are ranked 831st). As for Chazy, they will head out on the road to take on the Indians at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Indian Lake Central is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
